Tuning settings.

Knobs that control how the pipeline estimates rent. Changes are queued to the local machine and applied on the next pipeline run. The repo config (Puffin_Macro_Config.json) stays the single source of truth.

Data source

Which signal drives estimated_monthly_rent. Auto favours live local asking rents, falling back to ONS then the curated table.

Asking → achieved haircut

Multiplier applied to Rightmove asking rents to approximate achieved rents (asking runs optimistic). Lower = more conservative.

Minimum live listings

How many cached live listings (per bedroom count) are required before the live median is trusted. Below this, the estimate falls back to ONS.

Live freshness window (days)

Live listings older than this (by listed date) are ignored when computing the median.

Saving queues a settings_update to the repo via the portal bridge; the local request-poller applies it (≤10 min) and the next pipeline run uses the new values. If the bridge is unavailable, use Download and drop the file into the repo.
